Info

command-line options

The default port is 9002 for the webpresenter. If no start-page is supplied, it assumes as usual that index.html is requested. Some additional parameters can be given, but none of these is really required.

The Ping command gives some general information about the state of the webpresenter

SocketInfo

This gives an overview of the open sockets used by the webpresenter. Note that one browser can have it's own strategy how to use, share, or re-use a socket.
The '+' indicates that this is the socket used for the 'ping'-command itself.

BrowserClients

Most activity from the client is done via Ajax calls. These can be answered immediately but it is also possible that the next answer is not yet available. In that case, a request is still open. At the server side, this information is stored in a list of BrowserClients.
Each client is automatically identified by a name that is derived from the browser-type and a short guid-like extension.
It is important to realize that a Browser can have it's own strategy of how to assign sockets to Ajax-requests. In general, a socket to the same server can be reused for a request from another Browser-tab (= a BrowserClient at the server side)!!. This is efficient, from the Browsers point of view but at the same time it makes the bookkeeping at the server side more complicated. That is the reason that at the server side the BrowserClient is introduced.

The BrowserClient info is grouped somewhat. Same or similar requests are merged to a single item.

Special actions

The green button at the top-corner is normally hidden. It is shown in the following situations:
  1. the socket connection to the webpresenter is closed, in that case the button is red.
  2. the option settingbutton is used in the url (the button is permanently shown).
  3. left-mousebutton is clicked in the top-left corner with left-Ctrl and left-Shift keys pressed. The button is temporarily shown.

Clicking the green button

This will bring up the settings dialog, like this:

The buttons on the top-row specify the speed at which new requests are made. Recommended is 'medium' or 'fast'.

The fonts-button shows the fonts (in action)

slow when inactive - this should just be set to checked

do mouse move - normally this should be checked but for debugging the webpresenter or less output in the console of the browser, then it is better to disable the mouse move actions. Note that all mouse actions are 'POST'-ed to the webpresenter, although at the client side already some filtering is applied, in particular to mouse move actions.

The next row of buttons can be used to fit the svg on the client display. Probably the best choice is to leave it in 'FIT'-mode.

The information in the text box gives some general information, about the client and client connection.
